The WriteStep Gait and Mobility Package contains six 23-1/2" x 20" (60cm x 50cm) pads marked off in 4" (10.2cm) increments from 0-119", 0-300cm. When a child steps on the pad, an outline of the foot print appears. The pattern of foot prints enables a therapist to evaluate stride, foot placement, toe in/out, cadence, step length, step width and much more. The pink, neon cover sheet can then be lifted, erasing the prints, and the activity is started again. The instructor can also create foot drawings for the individual to practice activities such as walking, hopping, jumping and more. WriteStep not only serves as an evaluation tool, but also as a therapy tool in rehab, acute care, school and home settings. Each set comes complete with instructions, six 20" (50cm) marked pads, protective sheets, user s guide and a carrying case. Use over a hard floor. Mat backing must be wiped clean before first use and at intervals.
